Sam McEwan

Sam has extensive experience in both the public and private sector. Prior to establishing McEwan Partners Sam held positions within IBM UK Ltd and Scottish Enterprise where he advised on strategic communication issues and public affairs. During an extensive business career Sam has designed and managed high level communication strategies covering regulatory and competition issues, planning issues, business acquisitions, crisis management, downsizing and restructuring, industrial relations, internal communications and security across a wide range of business sectors.

Jayne Swanson

After graduating from Edinburgh University with an honours degree in politics and modern history Jayne worked as a Press and Campaigns Officer for the Scottish Liberal Democrats. Since joining McEwan Partners, Jayne has succeeded in co-ordinating and delivering a number of high profile campaigns for clients across a range of business sectors. In addition to public affairs activities, she was instrumental in establishing a new internal communications structure during a secondment to the Royal Bank of Scotland Information Technology Division. Jayne has also played a key role in establishing McEwan Partners successful events management offering.

Jacqueline Jamieson

Jacqueline has extensive experience from working in a number of private and public sector industries. During her time with McEwan Partners she has established the company’s highly successful monitoring function, which provides valuable political information to a varied client base. Jacqueline has played a significant part in assisting in the delivery of a number of high profile campaigns for clients across a range of business sectors. She has also played a key role in establishing McEwan Partners successful events management offering.

Tony King

After graduating with an honours degree in zoology from the University of London, Tony went on to postgraduate work at Heriot-Watt University where he was later on the research staff, specialising in transport, energy, and corporate sustainable development strategy.

Tony joined the office of a senior Labour MSP in 2002 as senior researcher and political assistant. In this role, he ran the Labour Whips’ Office, developing an unrivalled knowledge of the internal workings of the Scottish Parliament and advising Ministers, Special Advisers and senior officials in the process. He joined McEwan Partners in 2008, where he advises clients on communications and public affairs strategies.
